Sample Itineraries

Use our sample itineraries to help your family or group make the most of all that the Gateway Arch Riverfront and St. Louis area have to offer.  Half-day, one day, or two-day itineraries suggestions are offered below.  Estimated times may vary, depending on the size of your group.   Times may vary according to season; check the exact start times for events here.

Day One - Half-Day Itinerary
9am Arrive at Gateway Arch.
9:30am – 10:30am Visit the Top of the Arch.
10:30am - 11:30am  Catch a giant screen movie.   
12:00pm -1:00pm  Take a one hour sightseeing cruise and enjoy a box lunch or hot dog lunch on the boat.

Day One - Full Day Itinerary
9am Arrive at the Gateway Arch.
9:30am -10:30am Explore the Museum of Westward Expansion.
10:30am -11:30am Visit the Top of the Arch.  
11:30am - 12:00pm Shop for souvenirs and a snack in the Museum Store and the Levee Mercantile.
12:00pm -1:00pm See the award winning documentary, Monument To The Dream, which details the construction of the Gateway Arch.
1:30pm - 2:30pm Take a one hour sightseeing cruise and enjoy a box lunch or hot dog lunch on the boat.
2:45pm -3:45pm Enjoy the Gateway Arch Riverfront by land or air, on a bike ride or a helicopter tour.  
5:30pm  Dine at one of the local St. Louis Restaurants.

Day Two - Full Day Itinerary
9am  Arrive at Gateway Arch Riverfront.
9:00am - 10:00am Visit the Historic Old Courthouse and shop for souvenirs in the gift shop.
10:00am Arrive at the Gateway Arch.
10:30am - 11:30am  Catch a giant screen movie.
11:45am - 12:45pm  Lunch at the Arch View Café.
1:00pm - 5:00pm Explore some of the many exciting downtown St. Louis attractions from land or air with a bike rental or helicopter tour, such as the Anheuser-Busch Brewery, Busch Stadium, the St. Louis Art Museum, St. Louis Zoo, St. Louis Science Center, Missouri History Museum, City Museum and The City Garden.  
7:00pm - 9:30pm Enjoy a delicious dinner and live music aboard one of the Gateway Arch Riverboat dinner cruises.
