Make learning fun by holding an educational event at the Gateway Arch. Learn about the Old West with a visit to the Museum of Westward Expansion. Discover how the Gateway Arch was constructed and learn other details about the largest manmade monument in the United States in the award winning documentary, “Monument to the Dream.”

National Park Service ranger-led programs are available for all activities, to support teaching efforts. Information on ranger-led tours at the Gateway Arch, Historic Old Courthouse and Gateway Arch Riverboats is available in the Museum Education Program brochure

Can't make it out for a visit, check out our traveling trunks

The $3 National Park Entrance fee is waived for bonafide educational groups. Groups of 20 or more qualify for group rates and complimentary tickets (buy 19 tickets and the 20th is free). At least one chaperone per 10 students is recommended.

So that we can best accommodate your group it’s important that you plan your visit at least one month in advance. Reservations for the following school year begin on the first business day of June. Educational programs for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are also available. Call 877-982-1410 ext. 0 for more information.

Suggested Itineraries: Enhance your group’s visit to the Arch with suggested lesson plans for grades 4-6.

Educational Activities: Help your students learn about the Old West and the history of St. Louis while having a good time. These activities are recommended for grades 2-6.
