Getting Here
It’s easy to get to the Gateway Arch Riverfront no matter where you’re located. From South St. Louis or West St. Louis, Lambert International Airport, or from Illinois, follow the driving directions provided below. You can also use public transportation to get to the Arch. If you’re driving: From Illinois (East). Traveling west on I-64, I-55/70 cross the Poplar Street Bridge. Take the Memorial Drive Exit Only (right lane). Garage parking and the riverfront are accessible by traveling past the Arch (right lane) and taking the first right onto Washington Avenue. The garage is on the south side. From Lambert International Airport (North). Traveling east on I-70, take the Memorial Drive-Downtown Exit (250B). Travel through one stoplight (Pine St.), then turn left on Chestnut. Cross over the highway then turn left on Memorial Drive. Stay in the right lane and turn right on Washington Avenue. The garage is on the south side. From South St. Louis. Traveling north on I-55 and I-44 (I-44 East merges with I-55 North) take the Downtown Exit (209A). Then take the Memorial Drive Exit (251C), which is the 2nd right-hand lane (the far right lane goes to Illinois). Garage parking and the riverfront are accessible by traveling past the Arch (right lane) and taking the first right onto Washington Avenue). The garage is on the south side. From West St. Louis. Traveling east on I-64/US-40 take the Broadway Exit (last Missouri exit). Turn right at the bottom of the exit ramp. Turn right on to 8th Street and proceed around Busch Stadium. Turn right on Walnut and travel east until you reach Memorial Drive. Turn left on Memorial Drive. The Arch garage is past the Arch (traveling north). Turn right onto Washington Avenue. The entrance to the garage is on the south side.
By Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, the trip to the Gateway Arch is quick and easy. Take the MetroLink, which departs approximately every 10 minutes, to the Gateway Arch Riverfront. Simply board at any MetroLink station and exit at Arch-Laclede's Landing Station. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk. Follow the signs to the Arch. From Lambert Airport Traveling to the Arch from Lambert Airport is a 28-minute ride on MetroLink, with departures to and from Lambert every 10 minutes. Paid parking is available in the Arch Parking Garage located on the north edge of the Arch grounds off Washington Avenue. See map. Parking is $6.00 for the first 9 hours and 75 cents for each additional half hour. The garage also offers an Early Bird special of $4.00 if you enter the garage between the hours of 6 - 9 a.m. Maximum vehicle height is 7 feet.
Parking for Riverboat Cruises If you’re taking a Gateway Arch Riverboat Cruise, Levee Parking is the most convenient place to park. Cost is $4.00 per car. - Be aware that the lot contains uneven cobblestones; driving slowly will prevent damage to vehicles.

Bus and RV parking Bus, RV and oversize cab parking is available south of the Poplar Street bridge along Leonor K. Sullivan Blvd.
