Categories: St. Louis , Things to Do

Daylight savings is behind us, which means it’s time for your summer loves to turn into winter romances. As the sun sets earlier and evening activities head indoors, don’t fall into a date night rut. We’ve drummed up these Date-Night-2017.jpgunique St. Louis date night ideas for you and your sweetheart to enjoy all winter long!

Take a cooking class. Spend quality time with that special someone by creating a meal together – and seeing how your talents stack up in the kitchen! The Kitchen Conservatory offers a variety of cooking classes for beginners and pros alike. Whether you learn how to make the perfect Thanksgiving meal before the big day, satisfy your sweet tooth on dessert night, or gather some BBQ tips from Sugarfire Smoke House chefs, this is sure to be a date night your stomach won’t forget!

Orbit Pinball Lounge. For couples ages 21 and over who miss the days of arcades and video games, the Orbit Pinball Lounge in Maplewood is the perfect date spot for you. With numerous 1990s-era pinball and Skee-Ball machines, you and your honey won’t be able to resist a little friendly competition. While you’re there, grab a drink from the bar and relax in a booth made from recycled pinball machines!

Take an improv class. Keep the laughter alive in your relationship with an improv class at The Improv Shop. Learn the tricks of the trade from St. Louis’ comedy veterans and find out who is the funny one in your dynamic duo. Classes are offered for performers of all experience levels. And if you’re not up for getting on stage quite yet, head to an improv show and watch the pros instead. Remember: A couple that laughs together, stays together.

Winterfest at the Arch. What’s better than a classic ice skating date? Ice skating in the shadow of the Gateway Arch, of course! Take that special someone to Winterfest at the Arch this holiday season for an unforgettable night out, as the Gateway Arch Park Foundation and St. Louis Blues bring an ice skating rink (made with real ice) to Kiener Plaza. The rink will be open for free public skating November 18 through New Year’s Day. (You can bring your own approved skates, or skate rentals are available on site.)

Painting with a Twist. If you and your guy or gal are looking to channel your inner Picasso, then spend an evening with a canvas at Painting with a Twist. Sip on your favorite beverage while receiving step-by-step painting instructions from an experienced local artist. BONUS: You and your date will leave with your two one-of-a-kind paintings!
