Your September STL Concert Set List

riverboats-arch-blues-cruise.jpgFrom the St. Louis blues to Nelly, music is in our city’s roots, and this month is packed with a great lineup of concerts here in STL! Whether it’s an outdoor music festival in Forest Park, or watching Queen B slay with 67,000 of her biggest fans, there is music for people of all ages and interests.

On Sept. 4, Beyoncé celebrated her 35th birthday. Luckily for St. Louisans, the festivities continue with The Formation World Tour, which will rock the Dome at America’s Center on Saturday, Sept. 10. The set-list includes over 30 of Bey’s top hits, including songs from her newest album, “Lemonade” and even her first album, “Dangerously in Love,” released in 2003. You can still get tickets here.

With temperatures in the mid-70s this weekend, it’s the perfect time for a music festival. Taking place in St. Louis’ own backyard, Forest Park, LouFest (Sept. 10 & 11) presents over 30 national acts, including headliners LCD Soundsystem, Chris Stapleton and Ms. Lauryn Hill. Putting the “Lou back in Loufest,” the festival also features local artists and food from favorite local eateries such as Sugarfire Smokehouse, Strange Donuts, Mission Taco and Fitz’s Root Beer. Tickets are still available, and you can get them here.

For a music experience of a different sort, it’s time to head to the Mississippi River. Local crooner Marquise Knox performs live on Thursday, Sept. 15’s Gateway Arch Riverboats Blues Cruise, where passengers can wind down their Thursday with an evening concert set. A cash bar is available on the cruise. For more information and tickets, click here.

For the country fans who are always down to slip on their cowboy boots and dance, you’re in luck: On Thursday, Sept. 16, Florida Georgia Line will take the stage at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre.  With special guests Cole Swindell, The Cadillac Three, and Kane Brown, this is a concert you won’t want to miss! Purchase your tickets here.

No need to wake you up when September ends: Green Day is in town on Tuesday, Sept. 20, and will light up the stage at The Pageant, where no matter where you sit or stand, you are never farther than 70 feet from the artists! With the venue located in one of the most vibrant sections of St. Louis, The Loop, concert-goers can enjoy a bite to eat at the famous Blueberry Hill or a root beer float from Fitz’s before heading to the show. Get your tickets today.
