ALERT: Due to the shutdown of the federal government, the Gateway Arch and Old Courthouse, which are part of the National Park Service, are closed. They will resume operations during regularly scheduled hours as soon as the government re-opens. Ticketing and tram operations at the Gateway Arch and ticketing operations at the Old Courthouse are also closed. If you have purchased a scheduled tram ride to the top or Arch entry-only ticket during this time, your ticket price will be refunded as soon as possible. Junior Ranger Night Explorer Workshop: September 3, 2017

Location: Meet in the Tucker Theater located inside the Gateway Arch Visitor Center

Price: FREE

Kids ages 5-12 and their families can join Ranger Richard for a special workshop held in the Tucker Theater at the Gateway Arch to learn more about the night sky. He’ll help them earn the special Junior Ranger Night Explorer Patch available only this evening. This program will be followed by free telescope viewing on the Arch grounds led by volunteers from the St. Louis Astronomical Society. The Moon and Saturn will be the highlighted objects. No tickets are required for this event. 

In honor of the recent total eclipse of the Sun, kids can also earn a special, limited edition Eclipse Explorer badge this night

The workshop will take place regardless of weather. Call 314-655-1750 ext. 472 the day of the event for an update if viewing is canceled due to cloudy weather.
