Gateway Arch to Operate Extended Hours Thanksgiving Weekend

On Friday, November 28 and Saturday, November 29Thanksgiving weekend–the Gateway Arch will operate extended holiday hours of 9 am to 8 pm. The Arch and Old Courthouse are closed Thanksgiving Day.
Visitors are encouraged to take a “Journey to the Top” tram ride and visit the Museum of Westward Expansion during their visit. They can also enjoy the Arch movies “Lewis and Clark: Great Journey West” and the award-winning “Monument to the Dream.” Tram and movie tickets can be purchased in advance at https://ticketsforthearch.com.
“The Gateway Arch and Old Courthouse offer local residents and out-of-towners a distinctly St. Louis way to enjoy the holiday weekend,” said Ann Honious, Chief, Museum Services and Interpretation, Jefferson National Expansion Memorial.
THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY EVENTS: The public is invited to “Historic Holiday Traditions at the Old Courthouse” events, including noontime holiday concerts, featuring a performance by the St. Louis Irish Arts on Friday, November 28 and a performance by St. Louis Confluence Chamber Orchestra on Saturday, November 29. The Old Courthouse is located at 11 North Fourth Street in downtown St. Louis. These events are FREE and reservations are not required. Jefferson National Expansion Memorial will take part in the 2014 Ameren Missouri Thanksgiving Day Parade in downtown St. Louis with a float and squad car. The parade begins at 8:45 am. This is the fourth year JNEM is participating, and the public is welcome to join. Parade route information can be found at http://christmasinstlouis.org/parade/parade.
ARCH PARKING GARAGE CLOSURE: The Arch Parking Garage located at 200 Washington Ave. in downtown St. Louis will permanently close to the public December 1 as part of the ongoing CityArchRiver 2015 renovations to the Gateway Arch Grounds. Visitors are encouraged to visit www.getaroundstl.com for a list of Preferred Parking locations downtown.
