When we think “spring break,” we often think of a relaxing week on the beach or a skiing rendezvous in the mountains. Instead, why not discover all that St. Louis has to offer? You’ll likely find that you need much longer than one week to enjoy all the rich history, art, food and drink, nature and entertainment in our “big-small” Midwestern town.
Whether St. Louis is your home or destination, here are a few ideas to help kick off your spring break, St. Louis style!
St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Jumpstart your spring break with St. Louis’ annual celebration of Irish heritage and culture at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade downtown this Saturday, March 12 at noon! Rain or shine, the procession begins at 18th and Market streets and concludes at Broadway and Market. With Leprechaun Village for children, Shamrock Village for adults, and more, you’re sure to get your Irish on! Visit IrishParade.org for more.

Would you rather cheer on your team through the screen? Watch the big games at one of CBS Local’s “Top Bars for March Madness in St. Louis”.

Or, take a one-hour sightseeing cruise on the Gateway Arch Riverboats. See our previous blog post for more information and additional ideas.
Cheers for Charity
The only thing better than having a drink with great friends is having a drink with great friends in support of a good cause. On Thursday, March 31, Budweiser Brewhouse will host Cheers for Charity, an event featuring a fashion presentation by Ola Style, a silent auction fundraiser and drinks at the Crown Room. Twenty percent of all proceeds go to Dress for Success Midwest. More information at stlballparkvillage.com.
