The Missouri Division of Tourism wants YOU to snap a picture of your favorite destination or attraction in Missouri and post it to Instagram and/or Twitter using #MissouriAdventure. Your photo may be featured on the Division of Tourism’s social media outlets or in the Official Missouri Travel Guide, which is distributed nationwide! We hope you’re ready for your close-up!

1. Gateway Arch
11 N. Fourth Street, St. Louis, MO 63105
As one of the most photographed structures in the world and the tallest man-made monument in the U.S., the Arch should be on everyone’s “to-visit” bucket list. Whether you view the 630-foot monument from below or take a Journey to the Top tram ride, you’re sure to come across many photo ops!
2. Blue Spring
Current River, Part of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways near Eminence, MO
Because of its strikingly beautiful blue color, Osage Indians deemed Blue Spring near Eminence, Mo., the “Spring of the Summer Sky”. The color is so vivid you must see it to believe it. At over 310 feet deep, it’s Missouri’s deepest known spring and one of the deepest in the United States.
3. Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis

For those interested in culture, history, and especially the arts, the Cathedral Basilica is a must-see. The Cathedral is home to the largest collection of mosaic art in the Western hemisphere – some 7 million mosaic tiles adorn the interior.

Between its interior murals, ornate stairways, huge columns and beautiful landscaping, the Capitol is a work of art in itself. In addition to daily guided tours, the Capitol is home to the Missouri State Museum, which features exhibits of historical significance. Visitors can even snap a selfie with the Thomas Jefferson statue on the south side of the building!
5. World’s Largest Rocking Chair
Fanning 66 Outpost near Cuba, MO
Cruising down Route 66 and exploring its fun roadside attractions is practically an American rite of passage. Luckily for us, the World’s Largest Rocking Chair, which was built in 2008 and stands at 42-feet and one-inch tall, is located on the route right here in Missouri!
6. Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts
1601 Broadway Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64108
The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts is a recent addition to Kansas City, hosting live entertainment acts and serving as home to several local organizations. There are performances for everyone – from Jay Leno fans to Kansas City Ballet enthusiasts. In addition to enjoying live performances, visitors can also take a tour. The center looks especially beautiful after sunset when lit up by interior and exterior lights!
Ozark Mountain Country of Southwestern Missouri
Boasting more than 800 miles of shoreline, Table Rock Lake has become a favorite vacation spot for campers, pleasure boaters, fishermen and water-sport lovers. As an added benefit, the lake sits near Branson, Mo., one of the nation’s most popular entertainment and leisure destinations.
