  • Visiting the Gateway Arch: Enter the monument through the Gateway Arch Visitor Center, which faces Fourth Street and the Old Courthouse. The Gateway Arch legs are exits only. Please allow at least 30 minutes to go through security. Tickets sell out early and often, advance reservations are strongly recommended. Pending availability, additional tickets may be available for same-day purchase beginning at 9am each day through our website, call center, and ticket center at the Gateway Arch. Same-day ticket availability is not guaranteed and sells out early and often.

2022 National Park Week: Volunteer Riverfront Clean-Up Event

Team up to clean up the downtown St. Louis Riverfront in celebration of National Park Week! The Mississippi River is one of the largest sources of oceanic plastic debris. Help minimize our environmental footprint by collecting riverside trash and keeping the riverfront clean.

Gateway Arch Park Foundation, Gateway Arch National Park, Brightside St. Louis, and Living Lands & Waters will host a community trash pick-up event on Saturday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to noon. All volunteers will receive gloves, trash bags, water and snacks. Water bottles and other swag will be available to participants while supplies last. Afterward, stay and explore the Gateway Arch National Park grounds. Interested participants should sign up online.

Join the National Park Service (NPS) in celebrating America’s national parks during National Park Week, April 16-24, 2022! At Gateway Arch National Park, guests are encouraged to explore more than 200 years of history in the Museum at the Gateway Arch, take the Tram Ride to the Top and watch the documentary movie “Monument to the Dream” chronicling the construction of the Arch, as well as many other events and activities that connect visitors to St. Louis’ urban national park.

Each day of National Park Week, “sPark” a connection with the park by exploring a new theme, outlined online.

April 16: sPark Discovery National Park Week kicks off with a fee-free day to encourage everyone to find something new by visiting a national park, especially one that may be close to home, a park you haven’t considered visiting, or one you never realized is a national park! What new national park will you discover?
April 17: sPark Creativity National parks have inspired artistic expression and creativity for generations. What is your park muse? What masterpiece can you create?
