  • Visiting the Gateway Arch: Enter the monument through the Gateway Arch Visitor Center, which faces Fourth Street and the Old Courthouse. The Gateway Arch legs are exits only. Please allow at least 30 minutes to go through security. Tickets sell out early and often, advance reservations are strongly recommended. Pending availability, additional tickets may be available for same-day purchase beginning at 9am each day through our website, call center, and ticket center at the Gateway Arch. Same-day ticket availability is not guaranteed and sells out early and often.

Washington’s Ball (FREE)

Join us for this annual living history celebration honoring George Washington and his significance to American history. Washington’s Ball includes live 19th-century music by the Independent Silver Band of Mount Vernon, IL and a historical dance workshop led by Deborah Hyland. Visitors are invited to try out the moves, or to hang back and watch others dance. Historical clothing is not required to participate, but if you are own historic clothing and are interested in officially volunteering for the event, you may do so by contacting the park’s volunteer coordinator at [email protected]. The event is located on the mezzanine level of the Visitor Center at Gateway Arch National Park and is free and open to all ages.
