June 30th is a special day in St. Louis. It’s #Arch630Day! A day dedicated to celebrating our iconic Gateway Arch and its impressive dimensions: 630 feet tall and 630 feet wide. It’s more than just a monument; it’s a symbol of our city’s spirit, and we want everyone to join in the fun!
For the past few years, St. Louis has embraced the Arch 630 Day Stacking Challenge, and it’s always a blast! Businesses and organizations across the region get creative, measuring something unique to their operations and calculating how many of those items it would take to reach the Arch’s towering 630 feet. Imagine: How many stacked baseballs? How many scoops of ice cream? How many… well, you get the idea! Last year, we saw that it would take a staggering 158 elephants at the St. Louis Zoo to equal 630 feet. What will you come up with this year?
We’re calling on all St. Louis businesses, organizations, and individuals to take on the Stacking Challenge again! It’s a fantastic way to showcase your unique identity while celebrating a shared St. Louis icon. Share your calculations and a photo of your item using #Arch630Day on social media!
