If you are driving to the Gateway Arch, please see below for directions from all major interstates in Missouri and Illinois. Once you’re downtown, find parking at one of the many Preferred Parking locations near the Gateway Arch and Old Courthouse.
For visitors heading to the Riverboats at the Gateway Arch and wishing to park on the levee (cash fee required), please click here for directions to the riverfront via Chouteau Ave.
Leonor K. Sullivan Blvd. access is restricted from 8:00pm–6:00am every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening. During these times, levee parking and access to the Gateway Arch Riverboats is only available from the NORTH via Laclede’s Landing Blvd. Click here for detour directions.

By train, bus, or trolley, the Gateway Arch is easily accessible from throughout the St. Louis metro area. To find the MetroLink train station nearest you, visit the Metro Transit system map. Exit at the 8th and Pine station. From there, it is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Ticketing and Visitor Center at the Old Courthouse, located at 11 North 4th Street, St. Louis, MO 63102. If you already have your tickets, exit at the Laclede’s Landing station and walk south through the park to the Gateway Arch entrance.
MetroBus serves the greater St. Louis and Metro East Illinois region. Refer to the Metro Transit map to determine the best route to the Gateway Arch from your location.
The Downtown Trolley is a fun and convenient way to visit many of downtown’s most popular attractions, including the Old Courthouse, Kiener Plaza, Citygarden, the City Museum, Scottrade Center, and, of course, the Gateway Arch. View the trolley route and schedule here. Purchase tickets aboard the Trolley or at the MetroStore located at 801 Pine Street, St. Louis, MO 63101. All-day tickets are just $2 per adult and $1 per child or senior citizen.
