You’re the Captain Now! The Gateway Arch Riverboats are hiring Captains who can create unforgettable experiences for our passengers. Safely operate our vessels, engage with guests, and bring the river to life with captivating narrations. Adherence to regulations and company policies is essential while operating the vessel.

Gateway Arch Employee Benefits

Bi-State Development Employees at the Gateway Arch & Riverboats at the Gateway Arch are eligible for a variety of benefits for our available part-time and seasonal jobs in St. Louis. Current employee benefits are included below.

Hiring Incentive Starting at $300

New employees are eligible for a hiring incentive starting at $300. To qualify, the employee must be in good standing and maintain an average of 15.5 hours per week.

Free Metro Transportation

New employees at the Gateway Arch and Riverboats are eligible for free rides on any MetroBus or MetroLink train. A free Metro Transit pass will be given after completing the hiring process.

Free Local Parking

Free parking is available to all Bi-State Development Gateway Arch and Riverboats employees throughout the 2025 calendar year.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Gateway Arch Volunteer Program offers unique opportunities for individuals and groups of all ages, abilities, and interests to contribute their time to a variety of activities, including landscaping projects, museum interpretation and education, events, development and communications, administration and more.

The Volunteer Program is co-managed between the National Park Service and Gateway Arch Park Foundation.

Gateway Arch Park Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure the Gateway Arch, its grounds, neighboring public space, and attractions will be a vital, welcoming, and well-supported resource for the community and nation for generations to come.
